“I can accept failure, but I can’t accept not trying,” has been attributed to Michael Jordan.  Despite his Hall of Fame status and multiple accomplishments, people don’t always remember that he was cut from his team in high school.

If you’re interviewing for a job and feeling discouraged or if you’re looking because you were laid off or even fired for cause, remember that your past failure is not any predictor of your future.

What do you have to offer a future employer? What are your real skills and strengths?  Prepare stories of your prior accomplishments  that provide proof of how you can benefit your  prospective employer and you can be an MVP on a future team too.
