Terry: Do you have any questions for me?
Amy: Definitely, thank you. Can you tell me about a typical week that you have as a project manager?
Terry: Again, given that I’m doing the screenings for them, I couldn’t answer that directly, but the hiring manager has asked me to gather the questions from all of the candidates so that they can be prepared to address them when they do begin to participate in the next part of the process.
I will write that down as certainly one of the questions for them. What other questions do you have that I can add to the list I’m putting together?
Amy: I understand that I’ll be meeting with different team members from the different disciplines so I want to give them a chance to help me understand who they are and ask them how they would describe their role. How would you describe your communication style?
For the project management team and my manager what are some of the objectives you would like to see accomplished in this role?
More questions about the company. What has changed about XXX and what are some of the things that have stayed the same?
Terry: What’s different and what’s still in place? Any other questions?
Amy: Can you tell me a little about how the teams interact? For a close, have I provided enough background to illustrate how much of a great fit I am?
Terry: Okay, those are all the questions I have been asked to pass on to the hiring manager. Do you have any questions for me at this time as the screener?
Amy: When do you expect to make your decision for the next round?
Terry: I’m doing the screening interviews this week and next. We’ll be compiling the results and passing them on to the hiring manager and they are likely to be looking realistically, probably the end of next week. It would probably be the soonest you’ll hear back from us if we select you to move forward in terms of the next step in the process.
Amy: Fantastic.
Terry: Any other questions for me before we sign off?
Amy: Not at this time, but if I think of any I’ll be happy to reach out.
Terry: Okay, thank you. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend and we will talk to you soon.
Amy: Sounds terrific. You do the same, thank you.
